Roccaforte Speaker Cabinets
Many cabinet builders follow an industry standard of "quick" building, leaving the "quality" for cosmetics only. Build costs are usually the reason why, with sales profits adding to the equation. Personally, I want my cab to be equal all the way around - tone, build quality and cosmetics. Roccaforte Amps builds all speaker and head shell cabinets out of 13 ply Baltic Birch. Each cabinet has a complete frame inside that's glued and screwed into the shell. This avoids panel flexing on bass notes and prevents the joints from coming loose after years of service. All back panels, including head shells, are mounted with machine screws and T-nuts. This type of fastener allows for a tighter mounting and will not wear out any wood. Speaker cabs are built out of voidless 3/4" material, including the baffle boards. You hear more speaker tone this way, with less frequency selective notes. The Roccaforte 4 12 Cabinet
The new Roccaforte 4 12" speaker cabinets are now a straight design, with a one piece slanted baffle board. Same 13 ply Baltic Birch wood used as before, but with a complete frame inside for a tighter construction and a better bass response. The back panel is mounted with "T-nuts" and "machine screws." No more wood screws to wear out the holes. I'm very happy to announce we're now using the new Eminence speaker line. The 4 12" cabinet comes stock with the Eminence "Private Jack" 16 ohm speakers, wired for 16 ohms.
The Roccaforte 2 12 Cabinet
The new Roccaforte 2 12" speaker cabinets use the same 13 ply Baltic Birch wood as before, but with a complete frame inside for a tighter construction and a better bass response. The back panel is mounted with "T-nuts" and "machine screws." No more wood screws to wear out the holes. I'm very happy to announce we're now using the new Eminence speaker line. The 2 12" cabinet comes stock with the Eminence "Governor" 16 ohm speakers, wired for 8 ohms.
